Under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”, the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law), the purposes for which your personal data is processed by O’Wellness as data controller, the parties to whom it may be transferred and your rights are explained below.
Personal Data Processed
The name, phone number, email address and message content you send through our website, together with the identity, contact and payment details you share during membership processes, are processed. Transaction security data relating to your use of the site may also be recorded.
Purposes of Processing
Your personal data is processed in order to respond to your requests, to provide and improve our services, to carry out membership and reservation processes, to conduct communication activities, to fulfil legal obligations and to ensure information security.
Legal Grounds
The data is processed on the legal grounds set out in Article 5 of the KVKK: the conclusion or performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, legitimate interest and explicit consent.
Transfers
Your personal data may be transferred to the IT, hosting and payment infrastructure providers we work with, and to authorised public institutions and bodies, limited solely to the purposes above and in accordance with the legislation.
Retention Period
The data is retained for as long as the purpose of processing requires and for the statutory limitation periods set out in the relevant legislation; at the end of that period it is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.
Rights of the Data Subject
Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to: learn whether your personal data is being processed; request information if it has been processed; learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in line with that purpose; know the third parties to whom it has been transferred in Turkey or abroad; request correction if it has been processed incompletely or inaccurately; request its erasure or destruction; request that these actions be notified to the third parties to whom the data was transferred; object to an outcome against you arising from analysis carried out solely by automated systems; and claim compensation if you suffer loss due to unlawful processing.
